WHAT IS MURCO?

“El Murco” is a small town located at the foothills of Pasochoa Volcano, in the Ecuadorian Andes. The unique conditions of its ecosystem provide some of the purest spring waters on the continent, which we use to make our exquisite single malt. The freshness and lightness of this water provides the quality necessary to produce a world-class whisky.

BARLEY, WATER, OAK & ALTITUDE

The best malted barley, our water, American and French oak casks and over 9,000 ft of elevation combine to create an unexpected taste.


TASTING NOTES

A fruity and smokey whisky. With aromas of banana, red apple, grapes, maple syrup, roasted caramel, and a subtle note of dry roses. A palate with wooden notes of cedar as well as dark chocolate, plum, honey, walnut, and a rich malty finish.

Andes Spirits LLC. was born to two young entrepreneurs, from Quito, Ecuador. The connection to their land led them to explore the opportunities that high-quality Andean spring waters present. Combined with their passion for whisky, They embarked on the journey to create and launch the first-ever Single Malt Andes Whisky, Murco. By using this exceptional Andean element, the best selection of oak barrels, and European malted barley, they are committed to making this creation a delight for the most refined and curious whisky drinkers worldwide.
